Privacy Policy — Sotto

Effective: June 10, 2026

Sotto is built so that we never receive your data. This policy is short because there is very little to disclose.

The app

Data we collect: none. Sotto has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. Everything you enter — transactions, accounts, budgets, debts, goals — is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage.

The AI runs on your iPhone. Your questions and your financial data are processed entirely on-device by a locally stored language model. They are never transmitted to us or to any third party.

Network connections the app makes:

  1. AI model download (one time per model). The app downloads the AI model file from a public content-delivery network. This request contains no personal data and no information about your finances.
  2. iCloud sync (optional, off until you enable it). If you enable sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud database, encrypted in transit and at rest, and accessible only with your Apple Account. We have no ability to access, read, or recover this data. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
  3. App Store purchases. Subscriptions and purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We receive no payment details and no identity information.

Receipt photos are stored locally on your device (and in your private iCloud if sync is enabled). They are processed on-device and never uploaded to us.

Notifications are scheduled locally on your device.

Data deletion: delete data in-app at any time (Settings → Erase All Data), or delete the app — local data is removed with it. iCloud data can be removed in-app or via Apple's iCloud settings.

Children: Sotto is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone — including children.

This website

sotto.devforgeagency.com uses no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking technologies. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may process technical request logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site and protect against abuse; we do not use these logs to identify visitors.
